Dyson is an ambient real-time strategy game with abstract visuals.
Remotely command semi-autonomous self-replicating mining machines to take over an entire asteroid belt.
The original game was made in one month for the TIGSource Procedural Generation competition. Much of the game’s content is procedurally generated.
And it now had its name changed to avoid confusion with another brand. Eufloria will be released on October 20th.

MiniLD #13 has started, and this month is a little different from the other ones. You don’t get a specific week-end to make your game. Basically, you post there that you’re going to start your game, and then you got 48 hours. This will be great for me, because I play soccer on week-ends, and now I’ll be able to make the game during the week
.
Details have not being told yet, but check http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/, it won’t take long

The $200 SDLTutorials.com contest is over and my favorite game won. Ace of Space took first place and its author won the big prize. SDLTutorials.com have great tutorials for you to learn how to use SDL and C++. SDL ( Simple DirectMedia Library ) is a game library written in C. But for those who want to use it using the Object Oriented approach, check their tutorials.
Also, there will be some new competition soon. Check the website from time to time.

This month is all about numbers. You guessed it, make a game under seven days with “Numbers” as a theme. Submit it then as a comment here, and it might appear on “the best of the net!”
