Xbox Live Indie Games Suck

I’ve been playing around with my x360 for some time now, and I’ve tried a few Indie Games. I find it very disappointing. It’s impressive how many games are pure trash. Where is game quality? Good gameplay? What now, anyone can make a game, and it gets approved? Please send me a list of good games to buy! I have found very few!

Anyway, I just wish the community who approves games would be more specific.

You might not know it yet, but Vizati is the 2010 winner of XNA Pizza Night Event, and they have now a Demo of their game available for download.

You can also buy the game at GamersGate for only 7.5€, that about $9USD only!

EGP: Casual Addiction

Last month’s theme was High Velocity, and it had 21 entries, which can be viewed on the best of the new roundup.

Hopefully there will be more time for the next challenge. Casual Addiction is up for June, and July! This time, no excuses, everyone who likes a challenge, should enter this.

Remember the whole idea is to make a game under seven days. So get ready. Teams ups can be made, so don’t be afraid to go, and try to make something.

I’m going to try for this one, since school is ending next week, hopefully there will be no exams for me.

And if someone wants to team up with me, it would be a new experience, but I hope rewarding. So drop me a line.

This month, the theme for Experimental Gameplay Project is High Velocity. So prepare yourself to make some games! There are no restrictions but the theme. And you have one month to make the game, and submit it it in the original thread as a comment. You might make it on the Best of the Net.

XNA Pizza Night

I participated at XNA Pizza Night yesterday, and when there with the 4day game I made. We won!!… well at least some Pizza .

But it was really fun, and there where some amazing games there, including the Night’s Winner Vizati, who took home a xbox 360.

Edit(Feb 12nd): For those who downloaded before this update, re-download if encounter a bug on the buttons, if you have a WQVGA screen. Or If you want to be able to install on your memory card. Those bugs were fixed.

I have been working on a new version for Shopping List Mobile that would work with check boxes, and I have finished it today. In this version, you can select the items you have already purchased. File types are different from in the previous versions, but they are compatible, you can load them, and every item will have the check box unchecked. But you cannot save under the same file, so when prompt to save, it’ll ask a new name. Later you can delete the old file.

Hello.

I’ve been using Shopping List Mobile, and some of the world too. 600 downloads and counting, plus a review @palmserver.cz ( thanks guys ). I’ve been regularly updating the application, sorry, you’ll have to re-download. But there are more, and better things. Verification upon quiting, editing, saving, whether you have the list updated so you don’t lose what you have.

Also, on a side note. People are requesting a checkbox, I’m sorry but the Windows Mobile SDK doesn’t provide one, but the button is right there! Just click above the item on the list and click the Remove Item Button. Yes, I changed the name, just in case.

I hope you like it. I know I do.

Shopping List Mobile was developed to be a useful tool to help me remember what I need to buy when I go shopping. Hopefully it will be helpful to you to.

How to use
Its pretty simple. When you open the application, you’ll have a text box and some buttons. The Add button will add to the list what is written in the textbox. The Remove button will remove the selected item from the list. The Clean button will clean the list. Then you have the Save List, Load List, Delete list and About menus. Those are pretty obvious.

How to Install
Run the CAB file from your phone.

Windows Mobile 6 ( not tested with previous versions )
3.5 .net Compact Framework
